The Cloth Seller

The Cloth Seller
This fellow was a real character! He was so proud of his skeins of cloth that even when no-one was there he still folded, stroked and tended them like like they were living things. I believe he was struggling in this open air market but I wished him well and hope he profited from the day.

A Quiet Seat

masters-2005-jl-0117-1_resize_resize.jpg
This is a delightfuly quiet corner of a local wood belonging to a friend. It has woodland paths, glades,  tall trees , wildlife in abundance complete with pheasants, grouse, squirrels and rabbits. The wood is part of the extensive gardens surrounding the house and needs constant attention. Trimming, clearing, pollarding, path clearing and replanting keeps the owner busy and out of mischief. This small area where the logs are prepared also doubles as a place to sit and enjoy the quiet and solitude of this small, private, woodland glade.
